This year’s Classical Singer International Convention will feature a special “Counter Convention” just for countertenors. The reasons should be clear when you read the letter below, which was sent out to our e-mail list. Countertenors have special issues the rest of us don’t face, and they need more support from the singing community. Please pass this article on to your countertenor friends — particularly the young ones — and welcome them to join new friends at the Convention. We have all had hard times as singers, and we wouldn’t wish those times on anyone. Let’s help countertenors out by extending a hand of friendship and welcome.
