Meghan Picerno

Meghan Picerno credits much of her success not only to her “team” but also to her adaptability, courage, work ethic, and ability to be open to new opportunities. Despite the pandemic’s crushing blow to the classical singing world, these traits have allowed Picerno to adapt to new performing opportunities and learn new skills. Read about her big break, the benefits she has found as a crossover artist, her advice to singers, and her hope for the future of performing arts.

CS Music Convention 2024 Recap

This year’s CS Music Convention and Competition took place in Washington, D.C. over Memorial Day Weekend, May 24-27, 2024 where 105 scholarships were offered totaling more than $6.6 million!!! Nearly 700 singers and teachers gathered to compete and participate in the Convention! Songs were sung, memories were made, and connections were formed.

Opera Ebony: The Benjamin Matthews Vocal Competition

Opera Ebony is the longest continually operating Black opera company in the U.S. It was created to champion Black artists by presenting them in standard repertoire as well as works that celebrate historical figures like Fredrick Douglas and Harriet Tubman.
