What Makes You Unique
Your artistry, expressed. At Hartt, growth in technique and musicianship, guided by distinguished faculty, is the focus of vocal study. Our rich undergraduate and graduate course of study includes private voice lessons, coachings, vocal pedagogy, language and diction study, stagecraft, business and career development, and our invigorating core music curriculum. Paired with unique and abundant performance opportunities in solo recital, choral, and operatic repertoire, The Hartt School provides a one-of-a-kind experience for the emerging twenty-first century artist, teacher, and scholar.
Scholarships & Financial Aid
Merit-based scholarships based on audition are available up to 100%. Need-based aid is also available, as well as opportunities for work-study and graduate-level teaching assistant/fellowship positions. With a rich history of financial support for the vocal arts, Hartt has the resources to make sure anybody can attend, regardless of ability to pay.
Performance Opportunities & Events
Next up: Handel’s Messiah performed with orchestra in December, Mozart’s delightfully youthful opera “La finta giardiniera” in February 2026, and the annual Festival of American Song in April 2026. These are just some of the many performances featuring the incredible artists of Hartt Vocal Studies!
