Description

The annual Summer Institute was created in 2017 to introduce Ukrainian art songs to emerging vocal artists and collaborative pianists of diverse heritage by teaching them the subtleties of text interpretation and pronunciation under the guidance of a renowned professional faculty. To date, 43 international artists have participated in the program. Faculty members include Co-Director/Vocal Coach; Benjamin Butterfield, Vocal Coach; Andrea Ludwig, Collaborative Pianists Steven Philcox and Dr. Leanne Regehr, Co-Director; Dr. Melanie Turgeon. The program provides masterclasses, one-on-one coaching and lectures in a world-class facility. A public recital by the nine Summer Institute participants and two faculty collaborative pianists will be held at the end of the program on August 17, 2025.
