The bachelor of fine arts (BFA) musical theatre option at Ball State is an undergraduate-only, interdisciplinary, comprehensive, training program within a liberal arts environment. Students are encouraged to imagine possibilities, are challenged to inspire others, and make a positive impact in the industry and beyond.

Your rigorous training consists of individual voice instruction that includes a weekly masterclass, musicianship and sight singing, acting, and dance technique classes. You will have an opportunity to apply your training during the production season beginning the second semester of your first year. Immersive experiences in our 400-seat proscenium theater, flexible studios, and versatile dance venues provide space for exploration of learned techniques and styles, offering you room to create the artist you want to be.
