When Utah State University was established over a century ago, it became part of the land grant university system—a group of state-supported institutions of higher education dedicated to the ideal that the quest for knowledge should be one open to and in service of all the people. Although the land grant mission of the university has changed over time, one essential focus of Utah State University is the support of programs that contribute to the welfare of our constituents.

It is in keeping with this land grant mission that the Music Department sponsors and supports several community music programs. Whether you are a pre-college student or an adult interested in continuing your musical experience as an avocation, we hope that you will find something of interest here in our department.
