For a VOCAL audition, you will need to sing:
TWO prepared pieces*, one of which must be of a "classical" nature from the Renaissance, Baroque, Classical, Romantic, or serious 20th-Century literature, such as those sung at Solo & Ensemble Festival. The other piece may be of any style, and should be one which presents your voice to its best advantage. Memorized music is highly preferred.
If you are not planning to be a vocal music major, you will only need to sing:
ONE prepared piece of your own choosing. * Memorized music is highly preferred.
*Sight singing, pitch matching and vocalizing to check range will also be included in the vocal audition. It is assumed that you will bring your own accompanist to the vocal audition.
