Southeastern Oklahoma State University Department of Music has a longstanding reputation for musical excellence. Recognized for its quality performances, education and community service, the department plays a major role in bringing the performance arts to the Texoma Region. With four degree programs serving both national and international students, the department maintains a vibrant and diverse student population.
The Department of Music is one of ten academic departments in the School of Arts and Sciences and is located in the Fine Arts Building at the north end of the campus. Facilities include the Recital Hall, teaching studios, practice studios, an electronic piano and iMAC computer laboratory, a listening laboratory, choral rehearsal hall, jazz/percussion rehearsal hall, band rehearsal hall, classrooms, and faculty offices. Larger concerts and staged productions are presented in Montgomery Auditorium, the Visual and Performing Arts Center, or in the New Theatre Building.
