Florida Atlantic University’s School of the Arts offers outstanding opportunities in Vocal Performance, Commercial Music, Music Education, and Musical Theatre, along with graduate programs including the Master of Music in Vocal Performance and Conducting and the PhD in Comparative Studies. Our faculty have performed on national and international stages, hold advanced academic credentials, and bring expertise in both traditional bel canto techniques and a variety of contemporary styles. Students graduate prepared for careers in opera, theatre, education, and diverse professional music fields.
Students benefit from one-on-one mentorship, exceptional training, and extensive performance opportunities. Florida Atlantic Opera Theatre presents staged productions and is home to the renowned Opera in Italy study abroad program at the Giacomo Puccini Conservatory, open to both FAU students and participants from other institutions. This exceptional program offers classical and contemporary singers intensive training and performance opportunities in the heart of Italy’s vibrant musical heritage. Musical Theatre students in the Department of Theatre and Dance receive comprehensive training in acting, voice, and dance, with multiple productions each season.
