Hiring Principal Role(s) and Artists for the YAP.

Principal Artists: Submit cover letter listing role interest, union affiliation, and including 2 contrasting clips, a monologue (for musicals), dance reel if appropriate, and a headshot/resume. Send to curt@ufomt.org.

Artists chosen to participate in our Festival Artist Program (YAP) sing in the chorus/ensemble of our mainstage shows & concerts. They may also be given the opportunity to sing comprimario roles as well as cover principal & secondary roles.

Ideal candidates will have completed a bachelor’s degree or higher in vocal performance, theatre arts, or dance.

For YAP submissions, we request that each package include two contrasting pieces (preferably both opera and musical theatre if the artist sings both, otherwise a ballad and an up-tempo offering would be great) as well as a monologue or an example of dialogue. If the artist dances and would like to be considered for dancing roles we will need a dancing reel as well. We request that the recordings be no more than a year old. We may request live call-backs in major cities (TBD) for some roles.
