Description

Manhattan School of Music (MSM) is one of the world's premier music conservatories for classical music, musical theatre, and jazz. The MSM musical community is recognized for its more than 1,000 superbly talented undergraduate and graduate students who come from more than 50 countries and nearly all 50 states; its innovative curricula and world-renowned artist-teacher faculty drawn from the city’s great classical music organizations, including the Metropolitan Opera and Broadway; and a distinguished community of accomplished, award-winning alumni working at the highest levels of the musical, educational, cultural, and professional worlds.

The MSM programs of study for Classical Vocal Arts majors are designed to develop technically skilled classical vocal musicians in the western European/American style of classical vocal technique, encourage and facilitate the development of unique and autonomous artistry, and prepare students to successfully participate in and contribute towards the future of a vibrant performing arts industry.
