The Nazareth College School of Music is seeking a dynamic colleague with a vision for enthusiastic artistic leadership of our choral program. The Director of Choral Activities is a 9-month, tenure-track appointment at the rank of Assistant Professor beginning in August 2022, and includes a salary commensurate with expertise, experience. Applicants with additional experience and expertise in choral music education, and culturally relevant pedagogy are especially sought for this position. This individual will join colleagues at Nazareth College who value collaboration, innovation, equity, diversity, and inclusion in their shared work of preparing musicians and music education candidates. Special consideration will be given to applicants with at least three (3) years of prior experience and demonstrated ability to work with diverse groups. A doctorate in Choral Conducting (or related field) is required. ABD will be considered if applicant’s degree will be conferred by beginning of employment.
