The course focuses on exploring the repertoire of the 20th and 21st centuries. It includes working with the composer-in-residence, a range of masterclasses, workshops and seminars on performance, history and analysis of new music. Interested parties can register until Monday, 30 November 2020 using an online form (external students or internal students).
The lecturers include members of leading European ensembles of new music, as well as internationally renowned soloists and educators. Both in the classroom and in the form of talks, they will be examining together with the composers-in-residence (2021: Heinz Holliger, Dieter Ammann, Dmitri Kourliandski) important issues that are key to understanding and performing contemporary music. The Academy takes place every February.
