Schenectady Light Opera Company

Schenectady Light Opera Company will be holding auditions for Pippin, February 7, 2025; sign in begins at 6:30 pm with auditions starting at 7 pm and February 8, 2025; sign in begins at 12 pm with auditions starting at 12:30 pm.

What to Prepare for Auditions

* Please prepare 16 to 32 bars of music from a Broadway show – ideally in a style similar to the show. Singing from the show is welcome, but not required.

* An accompanist will be provided so please have sheet music in the correct key.

* Dance call. Bring or wear clothes and shoes you can move in.

Please familiarize yourself with the dance call before your audition (video on website). We will be reviewing the dance at auditions, as well, but for us to truly be able to see everyone’s technique and skill we are asking everyone to do their best to learn the call beforehand.
