After many years in NY, Mr Hess is now at the University of North Carolina at Greensboro, NC, with the title of “Covington Distinguished Professor”. He is also the Musical Director of Arkansas Opera Theatre, Tacoma Opera, and on the faculty of Israel Vocal Arts Institute in Tel Aviv.
