Teacher

Kyra Humphrey, NATS, is a vocal technician with over 45 years of teaching experience. Born in Spokane, she earned her MM in Vocal Performance at the University of Washington, taught at Northwest College in Kirkland, built her private vocal studio, and performed in Seattle. She moved to Pasadena CA in 1987, where for 25 years she continued to build her vocal studio and perform as a professional chorister with the Los Angeles Master Chorale. Since relocating to Sequim with her husband Steve in 2012, Kyra continues to teach privately in addition to assisting with vocal coaching at Olympic Theatre Arts, Sequim High School Operetta, and the Sequim Community Christmas Chorus, and occasionally performing with Peninsula Singers and SCCC. She is a frequent online adjudicator for Classical Singer and NATS scholarship competitions.
