Soprano Fei Xia holds her Master of Music degree in vocal performance from the University of Miami and Artist Diploma from Montclair State University. She is currently pursuing her Doctoral of Musical Arts degree in vocal performance at West Virginia University where she is studying with Dr. Hope Koehler. She has been advanced to the live final round of MIA Artist Management Opera Roster Audition in 2020. Ms.Fei performed the roles of Prima Cercatrice and Una Novizia in Suor Angelica with Montclair State University Opera in February of 2020. In 2017, Fei made her Carnegie Hall debut in the role of Juliette in Romeo et Juliette. In 2018, she performed the role of Giulietta in Les contes d 'Hoffmann with New York Lyric Opera in the Opera Gala at Carnegie Hall. She has sung the role of Una Novizia in Suor Angelica and Ilia in Idomeneo with Angels Vocal Art opera company in the Summer Festival in 2019. She will be singing the role of Pamina in Die Zauberflote with Manhattan Opera Studio at the 2022 Summer Festival. She has been given several recitals in China and the US. She is Certified Artist at the Classical Singer Association. Her major roles: Annio (La Clemenza di Tito), Zerlina (Don Giovanni), Lauretta (Gianni Schicchi), Despina (Cosi fan tutte), Angelica (Orlando), etc. Awards: 2021 West Virginia University graduate tuition waiver(2020-2021 academic year); 2020 West Virginia University Valerie Canady Trust Foundation Scholarship; 2021 Music International Grand Prix Vocal Competition Semi-finalist round(In Progress); Winners: 2021 V ODIN International Music Competition Honorable Mention; 2020 Vienna Music Competition encouragement award; Finalists: 2019 Metropolitan National Opera Council Audition Florida District; 2018 American Classical Singer National Vocal Competition; Semi-Finalists: 2018 New York Lyra International Vocal Competition; 2017 New York Lyric Opera Theater National Vocal Competition.
