Director/Producer/Dramaturg Ben Krywosz serves as Artistic Director of Nautilus Music-Theater in St Paul MN, which sponsors the Wesley Balk Opera Music-Theater Institute. His work with Nautilus includes directing numerous fully-staged productions of new and recent operas, musicals, and alternative works, including 21 world-premieres. He has also produced almost 200 works-in-progress readings, conducted 66 Composer-Librettist Studios, and teaches classes in integrated singing-acting, both with Nautilus and at academic institutions around the country. He has staged productions at other opera and theater companies, and also serves as a lecturer, group facilitator, community organizer, and administrative consultant.
