Dr. Jolie Rocke, renowned soprano has performed as a featured soloist in the USA, Europe and Far North Queensland Australia. She is versatile vocalist of varied repertoire including but not limited to opera, jazz, gospel, and musical theater. Her passion for music and the desire to pass it on to her students, leads her to produce concerts, direct community arts programs and train aspiring singers as a private voice teacher, coach, and mentor. For more than thirty years Dr. Rocke served as a Pre-K-12 music teacher in the public schools of Hartford, Connecticut. She has taught at San Jacinto College, Texas Southern University (TX), Manchester Community College (CT), and the University of Connecticut.
In addition to actively performing, presenting master classes, and conducting research, the Texas Commission on the Arts Touring Roster Artist is a Lecturer II of Music at Prairie View A&M University (TX), Executive Artistic Director of Driven Theater Company, Founder of HBCU Arts, and Owner of Rocke Vocal Studio in Houston, TX.
