Welcome to my vocal studio.
I am a Seattle-based singer and voice teacher currently accepting new students of all levels.
Have you been singing in choirs for years and have vocal fatigue after rehearsals and/or performances? Maybe you have issues navigating through register breaks? Are struggling with expanding your range?
Or perhaps you love to sing but have stage fright? Afraid of performing in front of others but are drawn to the stage? Are you shy/introverted but feel the need to express yourself musically? Me too! I absolutely empathize with all of these feelings, and would love to help you work through this through song. Music is healing. It is nurturing. It is necessary. And it is these sensitivities, our vulnerabilities, that connect us to music, which allows us to fully express who we truly are.
No matter where you are in your musical journey, I would be happy to work with you!
I work with each student individually and address their own specific needs. We are all unique and learn/absorb new information differently, and it is a welcomed and creative challenge for me to figure out with my students what personally works for them.
I study with opera singer Susan Gundunas, UC Berkeley, who studies with Jane Randolph, San Francisco Conservatory of Music. The Jane Randolph Vocal Technique has been established as a highly revered method by many respected singers, including opera singer Frederica von Stade. Additionally, I study with renowned opera singer Jordan Lorealis-Wright, an expert in the Bel Canto method. I would like to share the tremendous knowledge I’ve gleaned from these esteemed instructors with you and help you to become a better, healthier and happier singer! This technique works for any singing style to assist you in keeping the voice fresh and healthy for many years. My lessons address breath support, proper alignment, personal expression and more. I have a sensitive, positive teaching style and I will work with you very patiently and supportively. I have found so much joy from free, healthy singing and it is my goal to help you experience this same joy in your musical journey.
Lessons may address any/all of the following:
Breath Control

The voice is precious. Please be kind to it. It’s the only one you’ve got!
