After decades of teaching privately in New York City, and holding faculty positions at The Curtis, Institute, SUNY Purchase ,Temple University and others I moved to Maine and continue to teach people of all levels. Specialities and emphases include: vowel alignment, connecting to the appoggio, mechanics of breath/support system and using the intrinsic energy of the music to facilitate an ease of singing. As a respected coach before becoming established as a teacher, my specialties were style, recitatives, diction/pronunciation, finding the drama in the music, line, tactus,. Responding to the spirit and integrity of the music is uppermost.
