Originally from the Bahamas, tenor Craig Brown holds a graduate degree in Vocal Performance from the Hayes School of Music in Boone, North Carolina. Throughout his career, he has performed notable operatic roles, including Lippo in Kurt Weill’s Street Scene, Rodolfo in Puccini’s La Bohème, Ferrando in Mozart’s Così fan tutte, and King Kaspar in Menotti’s Amahl and the Night Visitors. He has also appeared with the North Carolina Symphony. Mr. Brown has studied with esteemed artists such as mezzo-soprano Mary-Gayle Greene, Metropolitan Opera soprano Alexandra LoBianco, Grammy Award winner Lucas Meachem, and tenor Matthew White. A highlight of his career was performing alongside Grammy Award-winning artist Andrea Bocelli.
In addition to performing, Mr. Brown holds a Bachelor's degree in Music Industry Studies and has worked with leading companies such as BMG Publishing, RCA Records, and Killer Tracks in Hollywood, California. His teaching experience includes serving as a vocal clinician at Camp Ballibay in Pennsylvania and Cannon Music Camp at Appalachian State University. He also recorded a Christmas pop album in the Bahamas titled In Dreams. Recognized as the #1 ReverbNation ranked Classical Artist in the Bahamas for seven years, 2013-2020, Mr. Brown currently teaches over 70 students as a voice instructor at Ravenscroft School, NC Opera, and The Musician’s Learning Center. Additionally, he serves as the Operating Director of Painted Sky Opera.
Beyond his local teaching, Mr. Brown is an internationally sought-after vocal coach, working with singers across the Bahamas, New Zealand, China, Hong Kong, and South Africa. His expertise extends to coaching K-Pop artists, guiding them in vocal technique and artistry to enhance their performances in the global music industry.
