Teacher

Chris Fecteau has been a pianist, coach and conductor in NYC since 1997, and founded dell'Arte Opera Ensemble in 2000. With dell'Arte, he produced over 60 full productions, and the company boasts nearly 700 alumni working in theaters all around the world, as well as in teaching and administrated positions, and as leaders in other fields.

Chris enjoys both song, oratorio, and opera coaching in equal measure. French and Italian are his strongest languages, and he is comfortable working in German as well. He has taught several seminars in recitative preparation,

Chris usually spends two days a week in Washington Heights where he coaches in his spacious studio with a Steinway L and his large collection of printed scores. He also coaches from his little house in Sherman, CT where his 1905 Sohmer grand is hanging out. He is ALWAYS available for remote coaching on FarPlay - sure, it's better to be in person, but if you need to work on something at the last minute and don't have commute time, it makes a great solution!
