Thomanerchor Leipzig

The THOMANERCHOR Leipzig is with more than 800 years the oldest cultural institution of the city of Leipzig and one of its most successful cultural ambassadors. The goal and mission of the choir, which consists of about 100 young singers between the ages of 9 and 19 and is committed above all to the legacy of Johann Sebastian Bach, is the cultivation of mostly sacred choral music with performances in the Thomaskirche Leipzig, at concerts all over the world and through media productions. The St. Thomas Boys live in a contemporary alumnat, receive a varied musical education and are looked after by an efficient team. The St. Thomas Boys Choir Leipzig, consisting of the choir and the Thomasalumnat, is a director at the Cultural Office of the City of Leipzig.
