13th International Singing Competition for Baroque Opera

Named after the Italian composer Pietro Antonio Cesti, who made Innsbruck a centre of Italian opera north of the Alps in the mid-17th century, the Cesti Competition has become one of the world's most important platforms for young singers with a special talent and training for the extremely diverse baroque opera genre.

Irrespective of their nationality, women born in 1991 or later, and men born in 1989 or later, are entitled to participate.

The final will take place on 28 August as a public concert at the Haus der Musik Innsbruck. The special prizes include participation in the production Barockoper:Jung at the Innsbruck Festival 2023.
