The audition will be in 3 rounds.

First round (eliminatory) - five chorus extracts, to be sung with scores:

- Gounod: Gloire immortelle à nos aïeux (Faust)

- Verdi: Fuoco di gioia (Otello)

- Verdi: Libera me (Requiem)

- Offenbach: Drig, drig, Maître Luther (Les Contes d’Hoffmann)

- Wagner: Steuermann, lass’die Wacht (Der fliegende Holländer)

2nd round:

* An aria of free choice (please forward the piano score to the pianist on the day of the audition)

* An aria form the following list, chosen by the candidate

(The arias in question must be from different periods and by different composers. One must be in French language and the other in a foreign language)

List of imposed arias :

- Donizetti: Com’è gentil (Don Pasquale)

- Donizetti: Una furtiva lagrima (Elisir d’Amore)

- Gounod: Ah ! Lève-toi soleil (Roméo & Juliette)

- Gounod: Salut, demeure chaste et pure (Faust)

- Mozart: Dies Bildnis ist bezaubernd schön (Die Zauberflöte)

- Mozart: Frisch zum Kampfe (Die Entführung aus dem Serail)

- Verdi: Lunge da lei (La Traviata)

- Strauss: Di rigori armato (Der Rosenkavalier)

3rd round :

* Work with the Chief of Choir: the candidate may be asked to sing a choral excerpt from the First round under the direction of the Chief of Choir.

* Vocal exercises / Grand Vocalise by Rossini

* Interview with the members of the Jury
