The School of Music at Illinois State University invites applications for an Instructional Assistant Professor of Choral Ensembles. This is a part-time, nine-month, non-tenure track position to begin on August 16, 2022.

Duties: Direct two choral ensembles: Men’s Glee (MWF, 12:00 – 12:50 pm) and Treble Choir (MWF, 1:00 – 1:50 pm) in weekly rehearsals and in performances. The ensemble membership is typically undergraduate music and non-music majors.

Required Qualifications

1. Master's Degree in Music Education or Music Performance .

2. State law mandates demonstrable oral proficiency in the English language as a requirement for this position.

Desired Qualifications

1. Doctorate or ABD in Music Education or Music Performance or professional equivalent

2. Successful teaching experience at the collegiate level
