SUNY Oswego is seeking an Assistant Professor of Music.

Description of Responsibilities:

Direct three choral ensembles (large undergraduate choir, select chamber/jazz ensemble, large college/community chorus).

Additional teaching areas as needed by department may include applied voice, voice class, basic music theory or aural skills, methods courses in choral repertoire and/or rehearsal techniques.

Required Qualifications:

Terminal Degree in Choral Conducting or related degree based on description of responsibilities by time of appointment

ABD considered, with expected terminal degree received by September 1st, 2023

Demonstrated effective teaching including engagement of students, knowledge of voice, shaping of ensemble sound, effective rehearsal techniques and appropriate repertoire selection

Commitment to diversity, equity, and inclusion

Experience and/or willingness to teach in an online environment
