Univ of Arkansas at Monticello seeks Assistant Professor of Music.

Summary of Job Duties:

Serve as rehearsal and performance pianist for two choral ensembles and the music theater workshop program.

Accompany faculty and student senior recitals.

Teach undergraduate students in class piano, applied piano, and courses within the piano concentration.

Teach additional courses as needed by the department within the candidate’s area of expertise.

Teaching load is 12 credit hours per semester.

Qualifications:

1. An earned Master of Music degree in piano performance, collaborative piano, or a related field is required. An earned Doctorate in collaborative piano or a related field is preferred.

2. The successful candidate will have demonstrable skills with piano including experience with accompanying ensembles and individuals.

The successful candidate is expected to maintain a positive relationship with music educators in the region, including active participation in local, regional, state, and national music organizations and effectively recruit piano students. The successful candidate will be expected to work collaboratively with faculty and staff.
