Audition Information:

Auditions for NCCT’s 49th summer show, Annie, will be held in 3 sessions at the Briggs Opera House in White River Junction:

Thursday, April 28 from 6:00 – 9:00pm for Adults

Saturday, April 30 starting at 10:00am for Children

Saturday, April 30 starting at 2:00pm for Adults

Requirements:

Performers currently in second grade and older are welcome to audition.

You must be vaccinated to be in the show.

Callbacks will be Sunday, May 1 at 3:00 p.m.

Location: Both auditions and callbacks will be held at Briggs Opera House in White River Junction.

Auditioners should:

Vocal Audition: Plan to sing 16-32 measures of an upbeat ballad from a musical that best showcases your range and personality. Please bring your sheet music for our accompanist.

Dance Audition: Please bring clothes you feel comfortable to move in. Bring character or jazz shoes (if you have them) or comfortable shoes for dancing. Everyone will be asked to dance so the choreographer has an idea of your skill level.

Callbacks (5/1 at 3pm): Children should familiarize themselves with “Maybe” and “I Don’t Need Anything But You”. Adults should familiarize themselves with “Easy Street”, “I Don’t Need Anything But You”, and “Fully Dressed”.

Rehearsals will be Tuesday and Thursday evenings and Saturday afternoons (not everyone will be called to every rehearsal). First rehearsal will be Saturday, May 7 (full cast). We load-in to Lebanon Opera House on Saturday, June 25, and cast members 18 years and older are expected to help. Beginning Sunday, June 26 rehearsals will be held everyday (except July 4) and will be mandatory for the full cast. Please list all conflicts when registering. Knowing your conflicts ahead allows us to make best use of our rehearsal time.

Parents of young children: If your child is cast in Annie, you will be required to volunteer time during all orphan rehearsals, as well as during performances. The green room is not a large space, and during the times when the children are not on stage, we will need help watching them, being sure they are set with costumes, getting them ready for their cues, etc.

We have found when performances include young children, it is best to have parental support for them during their downtime.
