The University of Nevada, Las Vegas invites applications for Music, Assistant Professor, Studio Voice, College of Fine Arts [R0128650].

This position is for an Assistant Professor of Music, Studio Voice (Low male voice preferred; other voice types considered). Full-time, nine-month, tenure-track appointment. Position begins August 1, 2022. Primary responsibility to teach voice performance studies to undergraduate and graduate music majors. Other responsibilities might include vocal literature, vocal pedagogy, diction, or other classes according to the successful candidate’s experience and departmental needs. The candidate is expected to work closely with colleagues, to assume an active role in the recruitment of undergraduate and graduate students to the School of Music, and to foster artistic and academic success of UNLV’s student populations, 67% of which are culturally diverse. The successful candidate will be expected to be involved in research and/or creative activity appropriate for a major research institution, and to commit to enhancing UNLV’s role as a Minority and a Hispanic Serving Institution.

Minimal Qualifications

Master of Music (MM) in vocal performance and/or vocal pedagogy from an accredited college, university, conservatory, or equivalent significant experience, and evidence of distinguished professional experience as a singer required.
