CenterPoint Legacy Theatre

CenterPoint Legacy Theatre announces auditions for ‘A Christmas Story’ on Saturday, August 28th. Vocal auditions will take place by appointment from 9:00 AM-10:30 AM for kids and 11:00-12:30 PM or adults. The show runs November 19th through December 23rd. Jim Christian will direct and music direct and Jessica Merrill will provide the choreography. Ashley Weller will be the Stage Manager.

Bring any conflicts from August 30th through December 24th along with a headshot and resume to auditions. Callbacks are scheduled for Monday, August 30th. First Cast Meeting will be Wednesday, September 15th. Rehearsals will start Saturday, September 18th.

Auditions are open to all performers 8 years and older. All roles are open and all ethnicities are encouraged to audition. We are looking for a diverse cast.

Children ages 8-15 will be given a song to learn for the audition upon sign-up. Ages 16 and older come prepared to sing 30 seconds or less of music in the style of the show or from the era. A pianist will be provided. Please no acapella singing or pre-recorded music.

There will be a tap workshop for all those auditioning for children roles on August 25th & 26th from 7:00-9:00 PM. Two workshops, each one hour in length, will be held on each night with limited capacity. Please reserve a time by emailing auditions@cptutah.org.
