US Army Field Band

THE UNITED STATES ARMY FIELD BAND is the Department of the Army’s premier touring musical representative. The Field Band has appeared in all fifty states and in more than thirty countries on four continents. The organization’s four performing components, the Concert Band, Soldiers’ Chorus, Jazz Ambassadors, and Six-String Soldiers, each travel up to 100 days annually. Tours include formal public concerts, school assemblies, educational outreach programs, festivals, and radio and television appearances.

JOB DESCRIPTION:

Perform as a vocal soloist and singer in the Soldiers' Chorus of The U.S. Army Field Band. Tour approximately 100-120 days per year in the U.S. and abroad. Perform in small ensembles. Present programs in schools across the nation. Other duties as required in service to the organization.

QUALIFICATIONS:

Professional performance experience preferred

Exceptional stage presence as a soloist and ensemble vocalist for live and virtual audiences

Ability to meet Army height/weight standards and maintain a physically fit appearance

Civilian applicants must be 17-34 years of age

U.S. citizen or other qualified resident

• One selection from Musical Theater, Opera, or Art Song

• A cappella performance of the National Anthem
