The NAU Kitt School of Music seeks a dynamic, creative, collaborative, and dedicated conductor-educator to serve as a non-tenure-eligible Lecturer (1-year sabbatical replacement, full-time, 10-month appointment). The assignment includes conducting Vocal Jazz ensemble, Men’s Chorale or Women’s Chorale, and Beginning Conducting. Additional teaching assignments would be based on needs of the unit and expertise of the candidate (vocal jazz pedagogy, choral arranging, music technology, advanced conducting). Service assignments would include mentoring student-led vocal groups and organizing the NAU Jazz-Madrigal Festival.

Minimum Qualifications

Masters degree in Choral Conducting or Music Education or related field.

Experience directing choirs in professional or academic settings.

Experience singing or conducting in vocal jazz style.
