Description
The Department of Music invites applications for a Visiting Assistant Professor of Music position to begin August, 2022. The successful candidate will lead two SATB ensembles (Chamber Singers, College Choir). The position also entails offering general music courses or music education courses.
DUTIES: Teaching duties will include the direction of two choral ensembles, oversight of the choral program, and depending on expertise, the teaching of general education, conducting, music education methods, or choral techniques classes. Instruction in other areas, such as applied voice instruction, may be possible depending upon the candidate’s interests and strengths.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS: M.M. in music required for appointment (must be awarded by August 2022); D.M.A. or Ph.D. in music preferred; demonstrated experience leading choral ensembles; qualifications to teach music education coursework.
