Summer Vocal Academy Jr.

This one-week, online, intensive program is designed for singers 6th– 9th grades (11-15 years old) to hone their skills as a soloist in a fun and friendly environment. Singers will explore classical/traditional song repertoire, vocal technique, movement, diction, and acting and interpretation throughout the week, and the program will culminate in a presentation of art songs and poems on the last day of the academy.

Classes will run from 10-4pm EDT daily; students from outside Maryland are welcome to apply and participate.

Materials:

Students will need a reliable internet connection and computer (or other connected device) to attend online classes. An external microphone plugged into the device is recommended for music studies, but is not required.
