Theater Münster

In cooperation with the Musikhochschule Münster we are advertising up to six places for the Münster Opernstudio.

Start of contract: August 7, 2023 with possible preliminary rehearsals from June 2023

Start of studies: October 1, 2023

Auditions: April 25-28, 2023

Aptitude test at the Musikhochschule Münster: May 30-31, 2023

Program:

- a four-semester study of the artistic master's course "Music and Creativity" with individual supervision of your vocal and musical development

- solo participation in music theater productions, concerts and interdisciplinary projects at the Theater Münster in the 2023/24 and 2024 seasons /25

- Study assignments for selected productions

- Concerts and projects as part of your studies

- Individual audition training and workshops on job-related topics

- The preparation of digital application material

Requirements:

- Proof of a completed (or to be completed in the summer semester 2023)

artistic bachelor's degree in singing

- German language skills level B2 (valid proof for both applications)

The following language proofs are accepted:

• B2 certificate from the Goethe-Institut

• B2 certificate from "TELC" with at least the grade good (2.0)

• DSH 1

• TestDaF with 3 points in all sub-areas

• DSD II with 4 times B2 level (“German language diploma”)

• OnSET B2 -

- you are no older than 32 at the time of the audition

To apply

1. please upload these documents to the theater's online portal:

- completed application form

- letter of motivation

- artistic curriculum vitae

- link to a current video with two arias from the program of the aptitude test regulations of the music academy (one of which is an aria by WA Mozart)

2. At the same time (or by April 14th, 2023 at the latest), please apply to the Musikhochschule Münster via the online portal of the Musikhochschule for the aptitude test for the master’s degree.

You must submit these documents to the Musikhochschule:

- Certificates

- Language certificates

- List of the documents to be prepared Examination program (8 arias from different epochs in at least 3 languages)

Applicants only who have submitted both applications in full can be invited to audition at the Theater Münster. Both the audition and the aptitude test must be successfully completed for admission to the opera studio and admission to the course.
