The Friends of the Vocal Arts is delighted to introduce the Veronica Dunne Bursary for Young Irish Singers, a new funding and mentoring initiative to develop Irish singing talent. With an overall fund of €15,000, the distribution of these awards will reflect the jury’s assessment of each recipient’s needs. On the basis of performance and interview, the experienced judging panel will devise a bespoke career plan for the successful singers. These personalised pathways could contribute to their development through such intensive work as musical or language coachings/ stagecraft classes and masterclasses.
Live rounds will be held Nov 7-8.
The Bursary is open to Irish singers, born on or after February 1st 1989, living in Ireland or abroad and also singers of any nationality who are resident or studying in Ireland.
Applications can be made through YAP Tracker. Appl deadline: Oct 24.
