University of Michigan-Flint is seeking LEO Lecturer I - Applied Music - Voice.
Required Qualifications
Prospective candidates should minimally possess a master’s degree in vocal performance, demonstrated successful teaching experience in applied voice at the secondary and/or university level, a record of active and continuing performance as vocalist, demonstrated ability to systematically teach sightreading skills, and demonstrated ability to prompt – from the keyboard – correct pitches and rhythms of vocal repertoire.
Ability to work remotely with access to appropriate equipment is essential if the situation is so required by government/university officials.
The position requires teaching weekly voice lessons face to face, in person on campus; participating as a member of the jury committee for student juries each semester; participating as a member of the recital committee for student junior and senior recitals; commitment to maintaining and developing the applied music studio assigned.
Other responsibilities may include participation in faculty recitals and/or Music concert events. This position begins August 30, 2021.
