Plaza Theatre Company is pleased to announce that video submission auditions for its upcoming productions of THE ARK and MARY POPPINS are now open. This notice is a call for video submissions to audition for both or either show. THE ARK will be under the direction of JaceSon P. Barrus and MARY POPPINS will be directed by Tina Barrus.

AUDITION INFORMATION -

Those who wish to audition must submit their completed video by midnight on Sunday March 20th. The video should include the singing of 32 bars from a musical theater number in the style of the show. Those who audition may choose to have their audition video considered for one or both of these shows and may indicate their preference on their Audition Form. They should submit the video as part of filling out this Google Form to audition:

Please note that performers of any ethnicity, race, color, sex, gender, age, sexual orientation, marital status, religion, and who are differently abled are welcome and encouraged to audition. We are actively seeking all ethnicities for all roles. Please note also that no roles for this production have been pre-cast and that all roles are open.

Should the Production Team need to see anyone further for a Callback Audition, those who will need to attend will be notified by Monday March 21st at 10pm. Everyone who submits an audition video will be notified of casting decisions regardless of whether or not they are cast.

PRODUCTION INFORMATION -

THE ARK will play on Thursday, Friday, and Saturday evenings and Saturday afternoons opening on May 6th and playing thru June 4th. Rehearsals will commence immediately following casting and will usually take place Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday evenings and Saturday mornings until opening.

MARY POPPINS will play on Thursday, Friday, and Saturday evenings and Saturday afternoons opening on June 10th and playing thru July 9th. Rehearsals will commence around April 9th and will usually take place Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday evenings and Saturday mornings until opening.

COVID-19 MITIGATION -

Plaza Theatre Company employs a Covid Compliance Officer who has completed certification with Arts & Science LLC whose duties are to oversee all Covid mitigation efforts for cast and crew.
