Description
The Department of Music is seeking an enthusiastic musical theatre director and instructor of undergraduate level of music in voice for a 1-year visiting position. The successful candidate should have substantial experience directing music theatre productions and working collaboratively, motivating and educating students in a liberal arts environment, fostering diversity and inclusion, and mentoring students outside of the classroom.
Teaching duties include courses in one or more of the following areas related to the candidate’s area of strength and experience: music theatre workshop, voice, musicology and ethnomusicology, music theory, acting, dance/choreography, and related coursework. Additional duties include directing student performances and recruiting new students. Earned terminal degree or equivalent professional experience preferred.
