Lewis & Clark College Department of Music invites applications for the position of Adjunct Choral Conducting Faculty beginning in the 2021-22 academic year. Responsibilities will include conducting the select treble ensemble, Voces Auream, in the Fall semester (Tuesdays/Thursdays weekly from 5:00-6:30), and the larger Community Chorale in the Spring semester (Tuesday evenings weekly from 7:00-9:30). This person will conduct varied choral literature in two Fall concerts and two Spring concerts. Adjunct Faculty are expected to be responsible and responsive members of the music department.

Qualifications

The successful applicant will have a proven record of choral expertise; the ability to challenge and encourage a choir of varied musical backgrounds; the ability to foster excellent vocal technique and ensemble musicianship; extensive performing and teaching experience; and experience programming excellent repertoire for treble voices, including new music and the music of many time periods and cultures. Master of Music or Master of Arts required.
