Third Eye Theatre Ensemble

Third Eye Theatre Ensemble announces auditions for our tenth and final season! We will be presenting Gian Carlo Menotti’s The Consul. There is pay in the form of a stipend. We do not provide housing.

Third Eye Theatre Ensemble is an ensemble based company dedicated to innovative work and advocating for social justice within the contexts of our ensemble based acting and theatre making. The Third Eye Ensemble will be performing in this show along with auditioned cast members.

Principal roles will be covered and/or double cast. We invite you to submit a video link of one English language aria along with your resume and headshot. An additional aria may also be submitted but is not required.

Submission deadline is April 15th.

Invited Callbacks will be hosted Saturday 10am-4pm May 6th, and Monday May 8th 7pm-9pm based on performer availability.

Rehearsals will begin in August with opening the weekend of September 22nd. Subsequent performances will be September 29th, 30th, Oct 1st, 5th, 6th, 7th, and 8th. Technical rehearsals and all performances will be at the Edge Theatre in Chicago Illinois.

Artistic leadership includes Alexis Enyart (conductor and co-music director), Jason Carlson (co-music director), Rena Ahmed (artistic director), and Rose Freeman (staging director)

COVID prevention protocols will follow or exceed CDC guidelines and will be updated accordingly throughout the production. In the past we have asked singers to mask during the rehearsal process. Health and wellbeing of all cast and production members is of highest priority for Third Eye Theatre Ensemble.
