Description
The College of Arts and Sciences at Bethel University seeks a qualified candidate for appointment as Assistant Professor of Music (Music Industry) in the Department of Music. This full-time (24 credit hours per year), non-tenure track position will begin August 2022. Salary is competitive and commensurate with experience.
Responsibilities:
The successful candidate will maintain a vocal studio, direct the University Singers, and teach curriculum in Music History. Additional coursework will be based on qualifications and may include Choral Methods, Choral Conducting, Diction, or other related coursework according to departmental needs. Other responsibilities for this position include academic advising, serve on college and university committees as appropriate, and work cooperatively with colleagues to realize the mission of the university.
Minimum qualifications:
Doctorate or ABD required. Applicants must demonstrate expertise and experience in maintaining a vocal studio at the collegiate or equivalent level. Preference will be given to the applicant who can demonstrate professional experience as a choral conductor and vocal performer in multiple genres of music.
