Description

The Department of Music at the University of North Carolina Wilmington is seeking a nine-month non-tenure track Lecturer in Voice starting January 2021.

Duties include: teach private voice lessons; teach courses in lyric diction, vocal pedagogy and literature, and other areas appropriate to the appointee’s qualifications and departmental needs; supervise student recitals in all degree areas. Selected candidate will be able to work effectively with faculty colleagues, engage in significant professional and creative activities, collaborate effectively with the choral area, and participate in other departmental responsibilities including student advising and committee work.

Minimum Education and Experience Requirements:

Completed Master’s degree in vocal performance with at least 18 hours of graduate coursework required at the time of employment.

Demonstrated success as an applied voice instructor and recruiter at the collegiate level within a diverse liberal arts curriculum.
