JAZZ WORKSHOP (GRADES 8 - 12)

July 5th - 28th, 2022

Our Summer Jazz Workshop is here! Open for students who are playing at NYSSMA level 4 and above, evenings consist of an improvisation class followed by a full band rehearsal with a conductor. Students hone their musicianship reading standard and contemporary repertoire and will be encouraged to implement their improvisation vocabulary.

Instruments: saxophone, trumpet, trombone, piano, guitar, bass, and drum set. Flute, clarinet and violin are also welcome to apply!

Pre-screening video with a selection of the student’s choice is required for seating placement.

The workshop will take place safely in the Conservatory’s large Recital Hall. Covid-19 health and safety building guidelines will remain in place.

Ages: Students entering grades 8 – 12

Dates: July 5th – 28th (4 weeks)

Tuesdays & Thursdays only

Times: 4:00pm – 7:00pm

Tuition: $350

A $25 registration fee and $30 materials fee will apply
