Auditions tomorrow Friday, August 13th from 6:30-9:30pm at the Montclair Operetta Club 494 Valley Rd, Montclair, NJ 07043 with invite-only callbacks on Saturday, August 14th. Performances October 15th, 16th, 17th, 22nd, 23rd, and 24th, 2021.

AUDITION REQUIREMENTS:

Please come prepared with 16-32 bars of a song in the style of the show. Bring sheet music in your key, an accompanist will be provided. Please bring comfortable dance attire & Jazz/Character shoes to auditions on August 12th, and to callbacks on the 13th if invited, as we will be dancing. Bring your headshot and resume if you have one.

ABOUT THE SHOW:

A terrible water shortage, caused by a 20-year drought, has led to the privatization of all toilets. In order for citizens to do their business, they must use public amenities regulated by a single malevolent company that profits by charging admission for one of humanity’s most basic needs. Amid the people, a hero decides that he’s had enough and plans a revolution to lead them all to freedom! Inspired by the works of Bertolt Brecht and Kurt Weill, Urinetown is an irreverently humorous satire in which no one is safe from scrutiny.
