Widukind Museum Enger

The world premiere of the opera "Widukind" is planned for the fall of 2022 in the Widukind town of Enger (East Westphalia). The following roles are sought for the production (composition and conducting: Thomas Lotz, libretto and direction: Birgit Kronshage):

• Karl the Great – Jugendlicher Heldentenor

• Widukind – Duke of Saxony – Mezzo soprano (lyric to dramatic)

• Alebrand – Karl’s consultant – Bass baritone

• Abbio, Widukinds Waffenbruder – Cavalier baritone

• Elimelech, Jewish merchant in Widukind's entourage – Spieltenor

Auditions are scheduled for February 2022 in Detmold.

Rehearsals will begin on September 1, 2022.

Premiere on October 1, 2022, further performances on October 2 and 3, 2022.
