Opera Company of Middlebury YAP Program 2024

Accepting applications for all voice parts and a pianist for the May/June 2024 Young Artist Program, which takes place during the mainstage production of Donizetti’s La fille du régiment.

- Studio Artist singers will perform and/or cover comprimario roles in the mainstage production (Hortensius, A corporal, A peasant) as well as sing in the ensemble, perform all roles in a chamber opera, and participate in general YAP activities, including coachings, masterclasses, career sessions, movement/yoga classes, French language coachings, etc. Studio Artists receive a stipend of $500.

- The Studio Artist pianist will accompany the chamber opera and masterclasses and participate in all other YAP activities. ($500 stipend).

- Apprentice Artists will sing in the mainstage ensemble and participate in all other YAP activities. This is a great opportunity for first-time YAP singers. Apprentice Artists receive a stipend of $250.

- All Young Artists will receive housing and an additional travel stipend of $200.

Applicants must be eligible to work in the United States at the time of the application.

Offers will be made in early January 2024.
