Colgate University is seeking a Teacher of Voice.

The teacher of voice is responsible for:

* Teaching voice lessons to students; relevant techniques and performance skills.

* Developing and implementing lesson plans catering to students’ needs and skill levels.

* Selecting appropriate repertoire and musical pieces for students to work on during lessons and performances.

* Staying updated with current trends and developments in voice pedagogy and incorporating innovative teaching methods into lessons.

* Meeting weekly with students to provide 30-minute or 60-minute lessons throughout the term.

Professional Experience/ Qualifications

* Demonstrated experience in teaching singing lessons on a one-on-one basis, with preference for experience teaching at the collegiate level.

* Professional performance experience preferred.

* Ability to effectively communicate and work with students of diverse backgrounds and skill levels.

Bachelor’s degree in music required, master’s degree preferred.
